Current Projects:
- A series of three studies examining (a) parameters of the predictive validity of emotional intelligence (EI) measures, (b) the strong predictive validity of EI measures for performance on psychometrically sophisticated, emotional understanding tasks, and (3) the proposed mechanisms by which EI facilitates future emotional learning.
- Publishing my dissertation and several papers on emotional prediction and personality, mood disorders, and personality disorders.
- Worldwide, over 15,000 people have completed my Delaying Gratification Inventory. Participants span all 50 states and all 6 inhabitable continents.
- On the evening of Valentine's Day 2007, about 500 participants completed our research study after coming home for the evening.
